Black Friday is just a couple weeks away… You may already have started your sales, hope it’s going well.
I want to talk about what some days in BFCM should look like.
Black Friday / Cyber Monday Schedules
BFCM is the one part of the year where brands who haven’t sent emails in ages decide to pop back in and bombard their subscribers.
It’s going to be a CRAZY time in the email inbox…
I’m talking 50+ emails an hour being received by some people lol.
For this reason, we need to attack with frequency so our emails don’t get lost.
If we send an email at 9am, that email will be unfindable at 11am as other emails drown it out.
FREQUENCY IS WHAT WINS IN BFCM.
I’m going to give you a few daily send schedules for you to choose from based on your level of availability.
Level 1: One Email + Resend
This is for the extremely busy individuals.
9AM: Send email 1
4pm: Resend email 1 with different SL and PT
Level 2: Two Emails + Resend
Okay… now we’re starting to add a bit more volume and get fancy with segmentation. This would be my recommended send schedule for most busy founders to get some juice out of the holiday but not do too much.
9AM: Send email 1
12pm: Send email 2 (can be text based)
4pm: Resend email 1 with different SL and PT to people who haven’t opened an email today.
Level 3: Two Emails + 2 Resends
8AM: Send email 1
12pm: Resend email 1 with different SL and PT to people who didn’t open the email.
3pm: Send email 2
7pm: Resend email 2 with different SL and PT to people who didn’t open email 2.
Level 4: Three Emails + 1 Resend
3 unique emails straight up… delivered to everybody. Then a resend to clean up anybody who haven’t bought. This is going to be my team and mine’s most used layout
8AM: Send email 1
12pm: Send email 2
4pm: Send email 3
7pm: Resend any email with different SL and PT to everyone.
The more frequency you send with, the better.
This is the one time of the year you can really spam your list and get away with it lol.
Don’t worry about deliverability, we can spend the next few months being very careful. We want to be sure we make the most of the BFCM season.
