As 2024 winds down, your email list is primed for one last touchpoint…
Here’s an email I would recommend sending out this week.
'2024 in Summary' Email
After a year of campaigns, your customers will appreciate a message that acknowledges their journey with you. This email reinforces the relationship and sets the stage for retention.
Also… it’s just cool to see everything accomplished by the brand over a years’ time.
It makes the customer feel like they are involved in something.
Use this email also to tease upcoming launches, trends, or really anything with the brand happening in 2025.
This gives your audience a peek at what’s next and keeps them engaged on the list so they don’t unsubscribe.
Try to humanize your brand. Customers love seeing the faces, stories, and efforts behind the products they buy. A heartfelt summary adds a personal touch to your brand.
What to Include in Your Email
1. Reflect on 2024
Share key moments of the year. Highlight milestones, awards, or new products your brand relaased.
Include interesting stats or achievements that your audience made possible, such as:
“We shipped over 25,000 products to happy customers this year!”
“Thanks to your support, we donated $10,000 to [cause] in 2024.”
2. Thank Your Customers
Express genuine gratitude. Let them know how much they mean to your brand.
Use heartfelt language and let them know that they are what makes your business possible: “Your support fuels our passion and helps us grow every day.”
3. Tease What’s Coming in 2025
Drop hints about upcoming launches, new products, or improvements to your services.
Example: “We’ve been cooking up something BIG for 2024… stay tuned for January!”
4. Offer a CTA (Call-to-Action)
Add a subtle nudge so you can get clicks and revenue.
You can go for sales or social media engagement:
A New Year-themed CTA: “Ring in 2025 with [xyz product"”
An invite to stay engaged: “Follow us on Instagram to see behind-the-scenes magic heading into 2025.”
Design Tips for the Campaign
Use Clean, On-Brand Visuals:
Keep the design simple but celebratory. Incorporate brand colors and a touch of New Year-themed elements like confetti or fireworks.Incorporate Personalization:
Use first names if you can by using the Klaviyo formula 'there'“Emma, here’s what we accomplished together this year!”
Add a Timeline or Infographic:
Create a quick recap of your brand’s 2024 highlights with a timeline or stats bar—easy to skim and visually engaging.
Subject Line Inspiration
“Here’s to an Incredible 2024 (& What’s Next!)”
“Our Journey Together: 2024 in Review 🎉”
“2025 Is Almost Here… Let’s Reflect!”
