This topic came up on a sales call the other day.

“I just don’t want to send the same information to my customers all the time”

My question to her was, why?

People Have No Memory

People see over 70 different ads every day (and that’s being conservative).

As much as we hope the customer remembers and knows everything about your brand, they just don’t.

They see so many other brands. They forget stuff, you get mixed up with others, etc.

Always assume in your marketing that the customer has very low, base level knowledge of your brand and you need to remind them.

Repeat Yourself More Than You Teach

You should be repetitive.

You need to drill your unique selling propositions and brand mission into your customer’s brains, and that doesn’t come from just one or two reminders.

It takes MANY reminders through time.

If you feel you’re getting repetitive in your marketing that is a good thing, you just need to make sure the thing that’s being repeated is important.

Use Recurring Emails

Have an important USP about your brand? Send an email about it every other month or once a quarter.

Have an email that performed really well? Resend it exactly OR a variation of it once a quarter.

This is especially important for emails that overcome objections or frequently asked questions.

For one of our clients, we found a proven email that is the simple topic of “How soon can I expect to see results?” and every single time it crushes.

So we’ve made it a point to send that email once every quarter to continue both REMINDING past customers and EDUCATION new customers that joined the list.

Don’t be afraid to repeat winners.

These are the types of messages you should be repeating to your customers.

I love how Dr. Squatch does over $100M per year and they still will send text-based emails like this.

An email like this would be super helpful to send in your welcome flow and repeat in your campaigns every few months to drill in your brand’s personal feel and your USPs.

Repeat repeat repeat!
