How to Use ChatGPT Image Generation to Create Email Marketing Designs

Here’s how to make professional email designs and graphics in 3 minutes flat using ChatGPT.

All you need is a plain product photo.
Step 1: Ask ChatGPT To Create You A Prompt
The quality of your output is determined by the quality of your input.
Good prompt → Good image generated
A lot of people don’t realize you can do this…
But you can ask ChatGPT to give you a prompt for creating a high quality image and it will come up with everything for you.
Simply attach your plain product photo and use this prompt template:
For this product and brand I want you to create me a prompt to then have you create a cool render to use in a welcome email.
Product and Brand: [insert website link]
The image should be 2x3 ratio. The product should be in the bottom 60% of the graphic so that I can include a headline and a button at the top of the email which I will add myself. The prompt should be detailed.

Step 2: Generate the Image Off of That Prompt
Simply copy the prompt that ChatGPT gave you in step 1.
Paste it right back into ChatGPT.
It spits out a clean photo of your product — in context, in use, high quality.
You can go back and forth on any edits that you want.
Example result:
Take that new image.
Drop it into Canva or Figma.
Add your:
Headline
Subheadline
CTA button
And BOOM… you have a strong hero image for your email design.
Here’s my final example using the graphic for a welcome email:
