The Problem With Many Emails

Okay… so a lot of the emails that we send are very specific about certain products, collections, etc

But what if somebody doesn’t want the specific product your highlighting?

Or what if they already have it?

What if you show 4 products in your email but the customer already has all 4?

Well, then you’re just sending them to a dead end.

Another point…

You probably hear me also talking about how we want to provide value to our list.

We want to give our subscribers tips, tricks, and hacks that they can use in their every day life.

But… how do you make money off of these emails? Without having a dead-end email?

Convert Customers on Autopilot

The secret to overcoming these issues is probably not what you’re expecting.

It’s actually just by utilizing a part of your email that you’re probably overlooking.

Your footer!

Footers are incredibly important because they are the only part of your emails that are repeated in every email.

Your footer shouldn't just be slapped together…

Take time putting together an on-brand, clean footer.

And more importantly,

We've found it to be extremely effective to put Shop Now or Shop By Category buttons in your footer.

Think of footer navigation buttons as the nav buttons you probably have in the header of your website.

This allows people to shop on your site no matter what your email is!

Somebody can go through your product highlight email, or your value-based email, get to the bottom, and click buttons and go shop on the site.

Having buttons in your footer lets your engaged readers who made it to the bottom of your email to continue shopping based on what they may be looking for.

*Important - don't use these buttons in the top of your email, we've seen this hurt conversions as it overwhelms the hero section of your email.

Often times, we see footer buttons on campaigns generate MORE clicks than the actual body of the email.

In summary, add buttons to your footer and you will make more money.

A clean hero section that doesn’’t try to do too much, and then a strong informational bridge section.

The use of icons and subheadlines allows the reader to skim the email and understand it’s points without too much effort.
