The hero section of your email is the most important.

And a lot of people talk about it…

So today, I wanted to talk about the SECOND most important section…

The Product Section.

Email Product Section

Your product section is exactly as it sounds.

It's the part of the email that is going to specifically feature and highlight a product or products.

Products can even be categories, not necessarily specific products.

It seems simple, but it’s very easy to mess it up.

In fact, most brands I review mess it up…

Let’s talk about a few things you must have to maximize conversions.

Product Section Layout

We don’t want to overcomplicate our product sections.

But for each product, we need 3 things:

  1. Image of the product (show the product)

  2. Name of the product (in case customer is going to search for it on your site)

  3. Clear button (will talk more about this below)

The simplest product section layout is a grid.

I recommend using only 2 products per row rather than 3 so that the products are bigger for the customer to see.

Individual Calls To Action

It's important if you're showing products to make it clear that the customer can click it and go to that product page.

This removes friction for the buyer so they don't have to go to the general site and find the product.

Make it clear by giving individual buttons or underlines under product titles.

End With A General CTA

After you give individual products, it's important to always have a general CTA below.

Maybe the customer is interested, but didn't like any of the products in the email.

By leaving out a general CTA below, you lose out on all these customers.

We've noticed 25% boosts in clicks by including this.

Absolutely necessary for ALL product sections.

Individual buttons and end with a general CTA.

These alone will skyrocket your clicks and conversions…

That’s it.

But it’s missing one thing…

The general CTA at the bottom!

I love the 2 items in the first row of the product section then 1 in the other with clear buttons but the general button would really help with clicks.

Great email nonetheless.
