Case Study: How We Took a Clothing Brand From $15k Email Revenue to $75K/Month in 60 Days

The Inbox Newsletter

Hey it’s Max from The Inbox Newsletter.
Today, I want to walk you through a real client case study. A clothing brand that came to us with almost no email marketing structure. No sign-up form, minimal flows, minimal campaigns.
Fast forward 60 days, and email is now driving $75K/month for them.
Let’s break down exactly how we did it.

Starting Point: No Foundation, No Strategy
This client signed with us on January 3rd with:
❌ No sign-up form.
❌ Minimally structured campaigns or flows.
❌ No real email strategy (random blasts here and there).
❌ An Omnisend setup that wasn’t driving revenue $15k/mo
Essentially, email was an afterthought. And it was leaving tens of thousands on the table.
First step? Move them from Omnisend to Klaviyo and start fresh.
Phase 1: Migration & Warm-Up
Since they were on Omnisend, we had to completely transition their email operations to Klaviyo (don’t overthink this, Klaviyo is the best so go get signed up with them)
This wasn’t as simple as flipping a switch. Klaviyo uses different IPs and sending domains, so if we just started blasting their full list, we’d tank deliverability and end up in spam.
Here’s what we did instead:
✅ Warm-up process – We started by sending low-volume emails to their most engaged subscribers.
✅ Gradual ramp-up – We slowly increased the volume over the next few weeks while monitoring engagement.
✅ Deliverability optimization – We ensured proper DKIM, SPF, and DMARC settings to establish domain reputation.
After 30 days, we were fully switched over and sending at full volume.
Phase 2: Building a High-Converting List
Sign-Up Form: From 0% to 7.3% Opt-In Rate
This brand had no sign-up form on their site. Meaning? They were losing every potential lead that hit their store.
We implemented:
✅ A high-converting pop-up with a strong incentive to capture emails.
✅ A 7.3% opt-in rate—which is above industry benchmarks.
✅ A structured Welcome Flow that immediately nurtured new subscribers into buyers.
Within 30 days, the brand had a grown list of thousands of new engaged potential customers.

New Subscribers | Opt-In Rate | Revenue
Phase 3: Automated Revenue Generation
At this point, we had clean data, a growing list, and a solid sending reputation. Now, it was time to make money.
Email Flows: $45K in 30 Days
We built out the core automated flows that every brand needs:
🔥 Welcome Flow – Converts new subscribers into buyers immediately.
🔥 Abandoned Cart & Checkout Flows – Recovers lost sales on autopilot.
🔥 Post-Purchase Flow – Turns first-time buyers into repeat customers.
🔥 Winback Flow – Brings back lapsed customers with targeted messaging.
🔥 Site Abandon Flow – Engages visitors who left the site before clicking a product.
🔥 Browse Abandon Flow – Reminds shoppers about products they viewed but didn’t add to cart.
🔥 Replenishment Reminder – Nudges customers to restock products they’ve previously purchased.
These flows alone drove $45,000 in revenue last month… all automated.

Phase 4: Scaling Campaign Revenue
Beyond automation, we implemented a structured campaign strategy to keep revenue flowing consistently.
✅ 3-4 targeted emails per week (sales, product launches, brand storytelling).
✅ Segmentation to send the right messages to the right people.
✅ Consistent testing & optimization to improve performance.
This brought in an additional $30,000 in revenue last month.

The Final Results: 60 Days Later
$75K revenue from email in the last 30 days.
$219K in total store revenue (up 88% from the previous period).
7.3% opt-in rate on the sign-up form (from 0%).
Email is now a core revenue channel, not an afterthought.
Key Takeaways: What You Can Learn from This
1️⃣ If you’re not leveraging email, you’re leaving money on the table.
2️⃣ A strong sign-up form is non-negotiable. You can’t monetize an email list you don’t have.
3️⃣ Flows do the heavy lifting. Over half of this brand’s email revenue came from automations.
4️⃣ Warm-up is essential. If you’re switching platforms, you need a structured approach to avoid deliverability issues.
5️⃣ Email is a compounding asset. This brand is just getting started, and email will only continue to scale.
